More Ways to Play: Dimensional Double Shift Gets Controller Support as Owlchemy Labs Launches On Steam Frame

Ever since Dimensional Double Shift entered Early Access, one request has come up again and again: Controller support.

Whether it was players looking for another way to enjoy the game, accessibility needs, or simply personal preference, it's been one of the most consistent conversations we've seen across Discord, social media, and player reviews. We always say Early Access is a conversation, and this is one of those moments where we get to say: we heard you.

We’re excited to announce that when Dimensional Double Shift launches on Steam Frame in the near future. To lessen those wait pains, we’re also launching controller support TODAY with update 1.16. Better yet, that support isn't exclusive to one platform, we're bringing controller support to Meta devices, too, so everyone can choose the way they want to play.

Virtual reality isn't a one-size-fits-all experience. Some players love hand tracking. Others prefer controllers for precision, comfort, accessibility, or simply because it's what feels natural to them. There isn't a "right" way to enjoy a game, only the way that works best for you.

That's why adding controller support feels like such an important step. It's about opening the doors a little wider so more people can jump into the wonderfully chaotic world of DDS without worrying about how they're interacting with it.

If you've been waiting for controllers before diving into Dimensional Double Shift, your wait is almost over.

Of course, that's not the only exciting news.

Job Simulator, Vacation Simulator, and Cosmonious High Join the Steam Frame Lineup

We're also thrilled to announce that Job Simulator, Vacation Simulator, and Cosmonious High are also making their way to Steam Frame, giving even more players the chance to experience two of the games that helped define room-scale VR. Whether you're reliving your favorite office mishaps, grilling questionable hot dogs on Vacation Island, or clocking into your first shift at Conglomni Corp, there's never been a better time to jump into the Simulatorverse.

Since day one, you've shared your ideas, your feedback, your bug reports, your feature requests, and yes, your controller support reminders. Every conversation has helped us continue shaping the game throughout Early Access, and this update is another example of that collaboration in action.

We can't wait to see what you do with a few more ways to play.

The modern Owlchemy Labs VR library arrives soon with controller support droppin’ in hot. Get in, squad up, and wave those hands like you just don’t care.
