Hexas Dimension Pack Release Notes

Hexas Dimension Pack Release Notes

Welcome to Hexas, where the food burns hotter than the depths of… well, you know, and the shifts ain’t getting any shorter. Before diving into Dimensional Double Shift’s newest dimension, there are a few things you should know as a player before joining the depths of fire-resistant cowboy chaps yourself. Plus, we’ve got an update on a new way to play with other DDS buddies.

Without further ado, let's get into Hexas.

First up, Room Browser

Dimensional Double Shift is a multiplayer game and we want you to be able to have more ways to play. With the purchase of the Hexas Dimension Pack, you’ll be able to find players from across the omniverse to play with… and even better? No room code required! Just create a public room and let other players join your crew. Make new friends (or enemies, we’re not here to judge, just keep it within community guidelines, eh?), bravely seek out new customers, and boldly enter your shift like the best dang employee you are. Go get ‘em, killer.

But that’s just the start to your new adventures. The Diner has also gotten a little… spicier. Most importantly: Cauldron of Blood. Need we say more? Oh, we do? That’s… yeah, that’s fair.

  • New appliances

  • New foods and recipes

  • New buttholes

    • We’ll let you figure this one out for yourself.

  • And… Spike. You’ll meet Spike.

    • Just don’t make it weird, we’ve seen those Dune popcorn memes, ya weirdos.

If you like pig butts and milking bizarre dangling udders with pals, then boy do we have the Garage update for you. Newly outfitted to get trucks – the only legal form of transportation in Hexas – back into working form and back out onto the Highway to Hexas. Which is perfect, because there are plenty of new NPC species to meet out there. They need their meat and their trucks, OK, it’s very important.

But wait, there’s more! We also wanted to take a second to say thanks to our amazing beta players out there that helped bring an entirely new dimension to life.

Thank You!

To our beta shift employees, the Omniverse's finest! You've helped us wrangle glitches, polish portals, and generally make Dimensional Double Shift a more... ahem... stable place. 😉 We're eternally grateful for your dedication and your ability to tolerate our shenanigans. As a reward for your bravery (and hard work!), we're giving you an exclusive "Thank You" Beta hat. Wear it with pride! ✨

Before you get going to see what’s new for yourself, check out some other improvements that have been made based on your feedback below as well as a list of known issues that the team is working on now in their own shifts.

Other Improvements 🛠️

  • Conglomni Corp gave us a budget to redo the Login Room. Enjoy that fresh coat of paint!

  • Streamlined friend adding! The friend squish feature is now available after all shifts, making it a breeze to add those awesome teammates you just worked with

  • Your friends on Meta will now see where you are in your shift, instead of just “Gas N’ Grill”. For example, “Dimensional Double Shift - Treeattle (Garage)”

  • The Garage has gotten a serious tune-up! We've tackled a whole host of bugs and improvements to make your shifts less glitchy and more productive. Say goodbye to misbehaving modules and missing tools (how distracting!) Time to get back to work..

  • We've supercharged the signal indicator! Now you can see exactly how awesome (or awesomely awful) your connection is.

  • We increased the size of the personal boundary in the garage as part of the S.T.O.P. system.

  • Our in-game messages were getting a little too enthusiastic during Experiment party backfills and occasionally wandered outside their designated zones.

Stability

  • We've cooled things down in the Garage! The fiery effects from igniting gasoline puddles have been optimized, so your rig should no longer turn into a well-done steak.

  • We've smoothed out some performance hiccups on Quest 2! The only things getting choppy when you open your wrist menu are the Chop Chop, Spike, and Spike Jr.

  • Fixed some Omnidimensional hiccups! We've smoothed out those moments where you and your crew were seeing things happen at different times (like when you're holding a banana, but your friend swears you're empty-handed?).

Bug Fixes

  • Enhanced party security! We've resolved a bug that allowed blocked players to rejoin. Blocked players are now correctly prevented from rejoining unless they are explicitly unblocked.

  • We heard your wrench-wielding woes! 🛠️ Many of you were getting seriously annoyed by a bug in Garage shifts with smaller crews, where cars were demanding tools from stations that were supposed to be on break. 😴 Well, we've wrestled that bug into submission, so you should now be able to focus on fixing those rides without those phantom tool requests!

  • We noticed some sneaky burritos duplicating when rolled, but we have put a stop to that!

  • Fixed a bug where playing a subsequent event caused wind sounds to play in the background of the Diner.

  • We've given ALICE a confidence boost! She's no longer prone to freezing up if you start the game with your hands hidden. ALICE is now ready to greet you! Remember, though, you need your hands to play. 😉

Now get out there and yee all of the haws and lead with your best chaps forward with Hexas! And just remember: Workmen’s comp doesn’t exist if you fall into the lava below. Make good choices! 👍

Get Hexas today for only $4.99! Do it for Alice.
