Black History Month Reading List
Hey folks, Vincent here! February is Black History Month and to celebrate and honor the contributions of Black writers I have curated a list of my favorite book recommendations.
To me these stories really speak to a range of Black experiences past, present and future. You can expect to enjoy Octavia Butler's afro-futurist mix of more grounded sci-fi, Isabel Wilkerson’s ability to transport you into the heart of the great migration, and Langston Hughes ability to bring humorous observations to Black experience in America. I hope you enjoy these stories as a good starting point for stories in the African Diaspora.
While this is just a short list, you can explore additional Black History Month resources here. I encourage you to continue reading Black writers throughout the year and support your local library and local bookstores.
